Adams Chiropractic Health Center is a family chiropractic clinic at 3151 West 15th Street in Plano, Texas 75075. Dr. Homer Adams Sr. opened the practice in 1978 on a simple commitment to drug-free, hands-on care, and it has stayed open continuously ever since. Today Dr. Homer Adams II and Dr. Willie Ow see patients here.

Chiropractic care here is aimed at musculoskeletal complaints. Patients come to us for:

- Sciatica and disc-related pain (spinal decompression and degenerative disc-related care)

- Shoulder, hip, knee and other joint pain (extremity adjusting)
- Muscle tension and soreness (electrical stimulation, dry needling, cupping and red light therapy)

Your first visit
- Talk it through. We start with what brought you in, how long it has been going on and your health history.
- Examination. The doctor performs a musculoskeletal exam to see how your joints move and what may be contributing to your symptoms.
- A plan together. We go over what we found, explain the care we recommend and why, and answer your questions before anything starts.

Insurance and cost
We work with a number of insurance plans, and private-pay options are available. Participation and coverage vary by plan, so call (972) 596-1611 and we will check your coverage before your visit. Medicare covers manual manipulation of the spine only. Spinal decompression is not covered by insurance and is self-pay. See our Good Faith Estimate information.

Are you open on Saturdays?
No. Our office is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8am to 6pm. We are closed Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. You can book online at any hour, and we will confirm your visit.

Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor?
No. You can call or book online without a referral. Some insurance plans require a referral or prior authorization before they will pay, so tell us your plan when you book and we can look it up. Animal chiropractic is the one exception: your veterinarian must refer first.
Do you take insurance, and does Medicare cover chiropractic?
We work with a number of insurance plans, and private-pay options are available. Coverage varies by plan, so call and we will check your specific benefits before your visit. Medicare covers manual manipulation of the spine only. It does not cover exams, therapies or extremity work performed by a chiropractor. Spinal decompression is not covered by insurance and is self-pay.
What happens at a first chiropractic visit?
We start by talking through your history and what you are feeling. The doctor then performs a musculoskeletal exam, reviews the findings with you and explains what care, if any, makes sense. Is chiropractic care safe?
Safety starts with the exam. We take your history, examine you and tell you plainly if an adjustment is not appropriate or if imaging or another provider should come first. We also explain what to expect before we begin.
